Description

A quick and delicious shrimp lo mein recipe that is better than takeout, ready in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Large shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 8 oz Lo mein noodles
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 Bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 Carrot (julienned)
  • 2 Green onions (sliced)
  • 1 cup Bean sprouts
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook lo mein noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. Whisk soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat; sear shrimp until pink and just cooked, then remove.
  4. In the same pan, sauté garlic, ginger, and vegetables until crisp-tender.
  5. Add cooked noodles and pour in the sauce; toss quickly to coat evenly.
  6. Return shrimp to the pan and stir-fry until everything is glossy and hot.
  7. Finish with green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Feel free to substitute vegetables based on your preference.
  • Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
