- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 cup Flour
- 4 Eggs
- 1 cup Milk (for custard)
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Make choux: boil water, butter, and salt; stir in flour until it forms a smooth ball.
- Beat in eggs one at a time until glossy and pipeable.
- Pipe rounds onto a baking sheet; bake at 400°F for 10 min, then 350°F for 20–25 min until puffed and golden.
- Make custard: whisk milk, sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks; cook until thick, then add vanilla.
- Cool custard completely, then pipe into cooled puffs.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
- Serve fresh with extra custard if desired.

- Ensure the custard is completely cooled before filling the puffs.
- For best results, serve the cream puffs the same day they are made.
