Ingredients

- 4 slices thick-cut bread (brioche or sourdough)
- 6 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ½ tsp thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet; add mushrooms, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Sauté until golden and soft.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place a slice butter-side down in a pan, layer with Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and another cheese slice.
- Top with the second bread slice (butter side up).
- Grill on medium heat 3–4 minutes per side until bread is golden and cheese melts.
- Slice in half, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
