Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or beef/pork mix)
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Cooked egg noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, and pepper. Shape into small meatballs.
  2. Heat butter in a skillet, brown meatballs on all sides until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, whisk flour into drippings to make a roux. Slowly add beef broth, whisking until smooth.
  4. Stir in cream and Worcestershire sauce, simmer until sauce thickens.
  5. Return meatballs to the pan, coat well in creamy gravy.
  6. Cook egg noodles until tender, then drain and lightly toss with butter.
  7. Serve meatballs over noodles, ladle extra gravy on top, garnish with fresh parsley.
