Ingredients

- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Coat chicken pieces lightly in cornstarch, season with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet and fry chicken until golden and crispy, about 5–6 minutes per side.
- In a bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet.
- Simmer until sauce thickens and becomes glossy, about 5 minutes, stirring to coat evenly.
- Remove from heat and let rest 2 minutes for sauce to cling.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or as an appetizer.
Notes
- For extra heat, increase the amount of crushed red pepper flakes.
- Can substitute chicken thighs with chicken breast if preferred.
- Serve with a side of vegetables for a complete meal.
