Description

Crispy chicken morsels coated in a thick, glossy honey garlic sauce that clings to every bite.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Coat chicken pieces lightly in cornstarch, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and fry chicken until golden and crispy, about 5–6 minutes per side.
  3. In a bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Pour sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet.
  5. Simmer until sauce thickens and becomes glossy, about 5 minutes, stirring to coat evenly.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest 2 minutes for sauce to cling.
  7. Serve hot with steamed rice or as an appetizer.

Notes

  • For extra heat, increase the amount of crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Can substitute chicken thighs with chicken breast if preferred.
  • Serve with a side of vegetables for a complete meal.
