Description

Tender skillet-seared pork chops baked in a rich, savory gravy with soft, buttery potatoes.


Ingredients

  • Bone-in or boneless pork chops
  • Potatoes (cubed)
  • Onion (sliced)
  • Chicken broth
  • Cream of mushroom soup
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Paprika
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • Butter or oil (for searing)
  • Salt & pepper
  • Parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, then lightly dredge in flour.
  2. Sear chops in a hot skillet with butter or oil until golden on both sides; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté onions briefly, then stir in cream of mushroom soup and chicken broth to make a smooth gravy.
  4. Place cubed potatoes in a greased baking dish, pour some gravy over them, and arrange pork chops on top.
  5. Pour remaining gravy over the chops and potatoes, covering everything well.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes, then uncover and bake for 10–15 minutes more until potatoes are tender and chops are fully cooked.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve with extra gravy spooned over the top.
