Description

A hearty and comforting dish featuring fork-tender steak, creamy potatoes, and melted cheddar, all cooked effortlessly in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef steak (cubed)
  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes (chunked)
  • 2 cups Sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season steak with salt, pepper, and paprika; sear briefly in olive oil until browned.
  2. Add potatoes, onion, and garlic to the slow cooker.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir lightly.
  4. Add seared steak and pour in beef broth and cream.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW until steak is tender and potatoes are soft (6–7 hours).
  6. Stir in shredded cheddar and cover until melted and creamy.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a combination of different cheeses.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or peas for added nutrition.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
