- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Dried onion
- 1 tsp Dried thyme
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Coarsely ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 Yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup White wine
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1/4 cup Prepared horseradish
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh chives (for garnish)
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, dried onion, thyme, salt, and pepper; form into oval patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear patties until deeply browned; remove and set aside.
- Add butter and chopped onion to the pan; cook until soft, then add garlic.
- Deglaze with white wine and simmer briefly.
- Stir in cream, horseradish, Dijon, and Parmesan; simmer until thick and silky.
- Return steaks to the sauce and simmer until cooked through.
- Finish with chopped chives and cracked pepper; serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier sauce, increase the amount of prepared horseradish.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
