Juicy, pan-seared beef patties smothered in a rich, tangy cream sauce—classic comfort with a bold twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Dried onion
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Coarsely ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 Yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup White wine
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Prepared horseradish
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Fresh chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, dried onion, thyme, salt, and pepper; form into oval patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear patties until deeply browned; remove and set aside.
  3. Add butter and chopped onion to the pan; cook until soft, then add garlic.
  4. Deglaze with white wine and simmer briefly.
  5. Stir in cream, horseradish, Dijon, and Parmesan; simmer until thick and silky.
  6. Return steaks to the sauce and simmer until cooked through.
  7. Finish with chopped chives and cracked pepper; serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, increase the amount of prepared horseradish.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
