- 1½ lbs ground beef
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup Kalamata olives, sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or crumbled feta
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a cast iron skillet.
- Heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, olives, and cherry tomatoes. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
- Sprinkle mozzarella or feta evenly over the top.
- Transfer skillet to oven and bake 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove, garnish generously with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
- Serve with crusty bread or over rice for a complete meal.
