Ingredients
- All-purpose flour (2¾ cups)
- Butter (¾ cup, softened)
- Sugar (1 cup)
- Assorted Jello powders (4 colors/flavors of choice)
- Baking powder (1 tsp)
- Salt (¼ tsp)
- Egg (1 large)
- Vanilla extract (1 tsp)
- Extra sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until light; beat in egg and vanilla.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; add gradually to butter mixture.
- Split dough into 4 bowls; add 1–2 tbsp of a different Jello powder to each and knead to color and flavor.
- Pinch small pieces from each color, roll together into one ball, and coat in sugar.
- Place on parchment-lined sheet and bake 8–10 minutes until puffed but soft.
- Let cookies rest on a rack to firm slightly.
