A delicious twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, these Sloppy Joes combine all the bold flavors of beef, cheese, and sautéed vegetables in a messy sandwich.
Ingredients

- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 Onion, diced
- Cheddar or provolone cheese, slices
- 4 Hoagie rolls
- 1 Bell pepper (optional, diced)
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Butter
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet; sauté onion (and bell pepper if using) until soft and lightly golden.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Brown ground beef, breaking it up until fully cooked.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and beef broth; simmer until slightly thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Lay cheese slices over the meat, cover, and let melt into the mixture.
- Spoon generously into toasted hoagie rolls and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms.
- Serve with pickles or chips on the side for a complete meal.
