Sparkling, sweet-tart cranberries infused with bright orange and warm vanilla, perfect for festive occasions.
Ingredients

- Fresh cranberries
- 1 cup Orange juice
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract (or 1 vanilla bean)
- 1 tbsp Orange zest
- Cinnamon stick (optional)
- Extra sugar for coating
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat orange juice, 1 cup sugar, zest, vanilla, and cinnamon until sugar dissolves (do NOT boil).
- Stir cranberries gently into warm syrup. Remove from heat.
- Refrigerate overnight so cranberries absorb the orange–vanilla flavor.
- Remove cranberries from syrup (save syrup for cocktails!).
- Let cranberries rest on a rack 20–30 minutes until tacky, not wet.
- Roll cranberries in granulated sugar until sparkling.
- Let dry completely before storing or using as garnish.
Notes
- For a cozy flavor, add a cinnamon stick to the syrup.
- Save the leftover syrup for cocktails or other recipes.
