Description

Ultra-moist banana bread infused with coffee and topped with silky espresso buttercream.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup brewed strong coffee (cooled)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tbsp softened butter (for frosting)
  • 12 tsp espresso powder
  • 12 tbsp milk
  • Chocolate-covered espresso beans (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and brewed coffee until smooth.
  3. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake 55–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. Beat softened butter, powdered sugar, espresso powder, and milk until smooth and fluffy.
  6. Spread espresso frosting generously over cooled loaf in thick swirls.
  7. Garnish with chocolate-covered espresso beans and slice.
