Description

Tender, caramelized sweet potatoes sliced thin and drenched in buttery maple goodness.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice sweet potatoes into thin Hasselback cuts, stopping just before cutting through.
  2. Brush with olive oil, season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of cinnamon, then bake at 425°F (220°C) for 30 minutes.
  3. Melt butter with maple syrup and brush generously over the potatoes.
  4. Return to oven and bake another 20–25 minutes, basting halfway.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans and fresh herbs on top.
  6. Drizzle with extra maple syrup before serving.
  7. Serve warm with extra glaze from the pan.

Notes

  • Ensure not to cut all the way through the sweet potatoes for the best presentation.
  • Adjust the amount of maple syrup based on your sweetness preference.
  • Can substitute pecans with walnuts if desired.
