Description
Tender, caramelized sweet potatoes sliced thin and drenched in buttery maple goodness.
Ingredients

- 4 sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup pecans (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for garnish
Instructions
- Slice sweet potatoes into thin Hasselback cuts, stopping just before cutting through.
- Brush with olive oil, season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of cinnamon, then bake at 425°F (220°C) for 30 minutes.
- Melt butter with maple syrup and brush generously over the potatoes.
- Return to oven and bake another 20–25 minutes, basting halfway.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans and fresh herbs on top.
- Drizzle with extra maple syrup before serving.
- Serve warm with extra glaze from the pan.
Notes
- Ensure not to cut all the way through the sweet potatoes for the best presentation.
- Adjust the amount of maple syrup based on your sweetness preference.
- Can substitute pecans with walnuts if desired.
