Ingredients
- Chicken breasts (2 large, cut into strips)
- Bowtie pasta (12 oz)
- Lemon (1, juiced and zested)
- Heavy cream (1 cup)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Butter (3 tbsp)
- Olive oil (1 tbsp)
- Parmesan cheese (½ cup, grated)
- Parsley (2 tbsp, chopped)
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Boil bowtie pasta until al dente; drain and set aside with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, lemon zest, and a touch of red pepper flakes.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet; cook chicken until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add lemon juice, cream, and Parmesan, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Toss cooked pasta in the sauce until well coated.
- Top creamy pasta with the seared lemon garlic chicken.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan before serving hot.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes based on your spice preference.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
