Description

Golden, herb-packed Greek meatballs seared to perfection and served with creamy tzatziki — a Mediterranean comfort classic.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef (or beef + pork blend)
  • Onion (grated)
  • Garlic
  • Fresh herbs (parsley + mint)
  • Egg
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Olive oil
  • Oregano
  • Salt & pepper
  • Optional: cinnamon pinch (traditional), dill, lemon zest
  • Tzatziki for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine ground meat with grated onion, minced garlic, herbs, egg, breadcrumbs, oregano, salt, pepper, and an optional pinch of cinnamon.
  2. Mix gently until just combined; chill 20–30 minutes for better shaping.
  3. Form small round meatballs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear meatballs until browned on all sides.
  5. Lower heat, cover, and cook until fully done — or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes.
  6. Drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with fresh herbs.
  7. Serve warm with tzatziki, pita, or roasted potatoes.
