Description

Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks are a delicious and easy-to-make version of the classic sandwich, featuring seasoned ground beef, sautéed peppers, onions, and gooey melted provolone cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onions and peppers, sauté until tender and slightly caramelized; remove from pan.
  3. Add ground beef to the same pan, season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce; cook until browned.
  4. Return the vegetables to the pan and stir everything together.
  5. Split hoagie rolls, lightly toast them, and spoon in the beef mixture.
  6. Top each sandwich with provolone cheese and place under the broiler for 1–2 minutes until melted.
  7. Garnish with herbs and serve hot — melty, savory, and irresistible.
