- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add onions and peppers, sauté until tender and slightly caramelized; remove from pan.
- Add ground beef to the same pan, season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce; cook until browned.
- Return the vegetables to the pan and stir everything together.
- Split hoagie rolls, lightly toast them, and spoon in the beef mixture.
- Top each sandwich with provolone cheese and place under the broiler for 1–2 minutes until melted.
- Garnish with herbs and serve hot — melty, savory, and irresistible.
