Description

Buttery, crusty bread packed with melty cheese and fragrant herbs in every tear-apart bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf crusty artisan bread
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Slice the bread in a crosshatch pattern without cutting all the way through.
  3. Mix melted butter with garlic, parsley, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Gently pull open the cuts and drizzle herb butter deep into the bread.
  5. Stuff shredded mozzarella and cheddar evenly between the slices.
  6. Wrap loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes; unwrap and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm while the cheese is perfectly melted and stretchy.
