Description

Juicy seared steak cubes tossed in garlic butter, served with velvety mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut steak into 1-inch cubes, pat dry, season generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high until shimmering.
  3. Sear steak bites in batches, 2–3 minutes per side, until browned but still juicy. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat, melt butter in the same pan, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Toss steak bites back in to coat with garlic butter.
  5. Meanwhile, boil potatoes until fork tender (about 15 minutes). Drain, mash with butter, cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Plate mashed potatoes, spoon steak bites on the side, and drizzle with extra garlic butter from the pan.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and cracked pepper before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use a cast-iron skillet for searing.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic according to your taste preference.
  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes after cooking for better juiciness.
