Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp milk (as needed)

Instructions

  3. Combine and mix until smooth, then divide batter evenly into pans.
  4. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean; cool completely.
  5. For buttercream, beat butter until fluffy, add powdered sugar and vanilla, and mix until creamy.
  6. Spread frosting evenly between cake layers.
  7. Dust top lightly with powdered sugar and serve!
