Description

Creamy, cheesy pasta meets golden, herbed chicken for the ultimate comfort bite.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked cavatappi or elbow pasta
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 chicken breasts, seasoned and grilled
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta until al dente; set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to form a roux. Gradually add cream until thickened.
  3. Stir in shredded cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  4. Toss pasta with the cheese sauce and transfer to a baking dish.
  5. Top with sliced grilled chicken and breadcrumbs; bake for 15 minutes at 375°F until golden.
  6. Garnish with parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
  7. Serve warm with extra cheese on top if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the cheese sauce.
  • Feel free to substitute the chicken with cooked bacon or sausage for a different flavor.
