- 1/2 cup Mascarpone (optional but extra creamy)
- 1/2 cup Mini chocolate chips
- 2 sheets Puff pastry
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Orange zest or 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1 Egg wash
- Pistachios for garnish
Instructions
- Cut puff pastry into two equal rectangles. Brush with egg wash, dock with a fork, and bake at 400°F until puffed and golden. Cool completely.
- Beat ricotta (drained) with powdered sugar, vanilla, and optional zest or cinnamon. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
- Place one baked pastry sheet on a board. Spread a thick layer of cannoli filling over it.
- Add the second pastry sheet and gently press. Chill for 30–45 minutes for easier cutting.
- Cut into neat squares with a sharp knife.
- Dust with powdered sugar. Garnish with pistachios and extra chocolate chips.
