Description

Crispy Chili–Lime Cheese Bombs are molten, stretchy cheese wrapped in a golden crust with a bright chili-lime zing, perfect for a flavorful snack.

Ingredients

  • Large fresh mozzarella balls
  • All-purpose flour
  • Eggs (beaten)
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Lime zest + lime wedges
  • Chili flakes
  • Honey (or hot honey)
  • Chopped parsley
  • Salt & pepper
  • Neutral frying oil

Instructions

  1. Pat mozzarella balls dry, season lightly with salt, pepper, and a touch of lime zest.
  2. Coat each ball in flour, then egg, then panko until fully covered.
  3. Freeze 10–15 minutes to keep the interior ultra-gooey while frying.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F and fry cheese bombs for 2–3 minutes until deeply golden and crisp.
  5. Drizzle with honey, sprinkle chili flakes and parsley, finish with a squeeze of fresh lime, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ensure the mozzarella balls are well-dried to prevent oil splatter.
  • Adjust the amount of chili flakes based on your spice preference.
  • For a sweeter touch, use hot honey.
