- 10–12 corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 packet salsa or taco seasoning
- Oil for frying (or spray for baking)
- Sour cream
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomato
- Chopped cilantro
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Mix shredded chicken with cheese and seasoning (or salsa) to make a flavorful filling.
- Warm tortillas until soft and pliable so they don’t crack.
- Add a small line of filling to each tortilla and roll tightly.
- Fry seam-side down in hot oil until crisp and golden (or bake at 425°F for 15–18 minutes).
- Drain on paper towels to keep them crunchy.
- Plate and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and cilantro.
- Serve with lime wedges and enjoy while hot and crispy.
