Description

A silky, restaurant-style white sauce with a zesty kick—perfect for drizzling, dipping, or tacos.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Small pinch of sugar
  • Water (to thin)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and sour cream until completely smooth.
  2. Add white vinegar and a small splash of water to loosen the mixture.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and a tiny pinch of sugar.
  4. Whisk until creamy and fully blended with no lumps.
  5. Adjust thickness with additional water, one teaspoon at a time, until pourable but still rich.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, increase the amount of cayenne pepper.
