- 1 package shelf-stable potato gnocchi
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, diced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly oil an oven-safe skillet or baking dish.
- Warm olive oil in the skillet; sauté garlic briefly until fragrant.
- Stir in marinara, cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add gnocchi and gently fold to coat in the sauce.
- Dot mozzarella evenly over the surface and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered for 15–18 minutes until bubbling and lightly golden.
- Finish with fresh basil and a pinch of red pepper flakes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to substitute the heavy cream with a lighter alternative for a lower calorie option.
- Fresh basil can be replaced with dried basil if necessary.
