Description

Juicy beef patties simmered in a bold, velvety horseradish cream sauce — rich, savory, and perfect over mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 2 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup finely diced onion
  • 1 egg
  • ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 oval patties.
  2. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear patties 4–5 minutes per side until deeply browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add beef broth and scrape up browned bits. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, horseradish, and Dijon. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Return patties to the skillet and spoon sauce over them. Cover and simmer 8–10 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Garnish with chopped chives and serve hot with mashed potatoes or crusty bread.

  • Adjust the amount of horseradish to taste for desired spiciness.
  • Can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
