- 8 oz Linguine pasta
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 3 Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Yellow onion, diced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or thyme, for garnish
- Reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Cook linguine in well-salted boiling water until al dente; reserve pasta water and drain.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
- Stir in Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour in heavy cream, simmer gently, then whisk in Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
- Return beef to the skillet, add linguine, and toss with reserved pasta water until glossy and coated.
- Finish with chopped parsley or thyme and extra Parmesan on top.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Make sure to reserve enough pasta water to achieve the desired sauce consistency.
