Spicy blackened shrimp and smoky sausage wrapped in a bold Cajun cream sauce—weeknight comfort with attitude.
Ingredients

- 1 lb Shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 8 oz Andouille sausage (sliced)
- 12 oz Fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 1 Bell pepper (red preferred)
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- 2 tbsp Olive oil or butter
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve some pasta water.
- Season shrimp generously with Cajun seasoning.
- Sear shrimp in a hot skillet with oil until blackened; remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté sausage slices until browned; add onion and peppers.
- Stir in garlic, paprika, and a splash of broth; simmer briefly.
- Pour in cream and reserved pasta water; simmer until slightly thickened.
- Toss in pasta and shrimp, coat well, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more Cajun seasoning to taste.
- Fresh parsley can be used as a garnish for added flavor and color.
- Feel free to substitute shrimp with chicken or other seafood if desired.
