Description

A hearty baked pasta with savory beef, rich tomato-cream sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, pepper & oregano to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook penne until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and oregano, and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and heavy cream, simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Combine pasta with sauce mixture, then pour into a baking dish.
  6. Top generously with mozzarella cheese and bake for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish with basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
  • Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
