- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, pepper & oregano to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook penne until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and oregano, and cook until browned.
- Stir in marinara sauce and heavy cream, simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Combine pasta with sauce mixture, then pour into a baking dish.
- Top generously with mozzarella cheese and bake for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with basil or parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
