Instructions
- Make the cupcakes: Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar. Add eggs, melted butter (or oil), milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Bake: Divide batter into 12 liners and bake 18–20 minutes at 350°F (175°C). Cool completely.
- Prepare frosting: Beat butter until fluffy, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and a splash of cream to reach smooth piping consistency.
- Frost swirls: Pipe tall vanilla frosting swirls on each cupcake.
- Form snowmen: Shape marshmallows or fondant balls for heads. Add candy eyes, orange nose, and chocolate-dot smile.
- Decorate tops: Place snowman head on each swirl, then arrange colorful candies around like scarves and buttons.
- Finish: Add more chocolate details if desired and refrigerate briefly to set.
