Classic Homemade Lasagna is a delicious dish made with layers of rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey melted cheese baked to perfection.

- 1 lb Ground beef
- 12 Lasagna noodles
- 15 oz Ricotta cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
- 24 oz Tomato sauce
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Egg (for ricotta mixture)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil, then brown the beef; add tomato sauce and seasonings.
- Cook lasagna noodles until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Mix ricotta with egg, parmesan, parsley, and a pinch of salt.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer noodles, ricotta mix, meat sauce, and mozzarella—repeat 3–4 times.
- Finish with sauce and cheese on top, then cover with foil.
- Bake for 40 minutes, uncover, and bake another 10 until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen for later use.
