Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Add basil, pine nuts, and garlic to a food processor; pulse until finely chopped.
  2. Add Parmesan and pulse again to combine.
  3. With the processor running, slowly stream in olive oil until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper; pulse once more.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning or consistency with extra oil if needed.
  6. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • For a nuttier flavor, toast the pine nuts before adding them to the food processor.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic according to your taste preference.
