Ingredients

- 1 pound Ziti pasta
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 2 cups Marinara sauce
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup Ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook ziti until just al dente; drain and set aside.
- Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil, add ground beef, and cook until browned; season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Stir marinara into the beef and simmer a few minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta with parmesan, salt, pepper, and a bit of parsley.
- Toss cooked ziti with the meat sauce and dollops of ricotta.
- Transfer to a baking dish, top generously with mozzarella.
- Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until melted, bubbling, and lightly golden.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with mushrooms or lentils.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
- Let the baked ziti sit for a few minutes before serving for easier slicing.
