- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 4 slices sliced ham
- 1 cup Swiss cheese (shredded or sliced)
- 4 flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayo or sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Butter or oil for the skillet
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Make Dijon spread: Mix Dijon, mayo (or sour cream), garlic powder, and pepper until creamy.
- Assemble quesadilla: Spread Dijon sauce on a tortilla. Layer Swiss cheese, shredded chicken, sliced ham, then more cheese. Top with a second tortilla.
- Heat skillet: Melt a little butter or oil over medium heat.
- Cook: Place quesadilla in the hot skillet and cook until bottom is golden and crisp. Flip carefully.
- Finish: Cook the second side until cheese is fully melted and tortilla is nicely browned.
- Slice: Transfer to a board and cut into wedges.
- Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve with extra Dijon sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of Dijon mustard to taste.
- For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper to the Dijon spread.
- These quesadillas can be made ahead and reheated in the skillet.
