Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 slices sliced ham
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese (shredded or sliced)
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayo or sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Butter or oil for the skillet
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make Dijon spread: Mix Dijon, mayo (or sour cream), garlic powder, and pepper until creamy.
  2. Assemble quesadilla: Spread Dijon sauce on a tortilla. Layer Swiss cheese, shredded chicken, sliced ham, then more cheese. Top with a second tortilla.
  3. Heat skillet: Melt a little butter or oil over medium heat.
  4. Cook: Place quesadilla in the hot skillet and cook until bottom is golden and crisp. Flip carefully.
  5. Finish: Cook the second side until cheese is fully melted and tortilla is nicely browned.
  6. Slice: Transfer to a board and cut into wedges.
  7. Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve with extra Dijon sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Dijon mustard to taste.
  • For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper to the Dijon spread.
