- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup sloppy joe sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 onion (finely diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- Optional: jalapeños or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet with olive oil; drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant.
- Stir in sloppy joe sauce, Worcestershire, paprika, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Arrange Texas toast on a baking sheet and lightly toast.
- Spoon sloppy joe mixture generously over each toast slice.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake until cheese is melted and bubbly; serve hot.
Notes
- For extra heat, add jalapeños on top before baking.
