Description

Toasty garlic bread piled with saucy sloppy joe meat and blanketed in melted cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 6 halves Garlic bread
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella or provolone
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce / sloppy joe sauce
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef with diced onion; drain.
  2. Add tomato/sloppy joe sauce, Worcestershire, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; simmer until thick.
  3. Place garlic bread halves on a baking sheet and pre-toast for 5 minutes at 400°F.
  4. Spoon a generous layer of sloppy joe meat onto each piece.
  5. Top heavily with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 5–7 more minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the meat mixture.
