Ingredients

  • Ground beef (1 lb)
  • Pasta (12 oz penne or rigatoni)
  • Mozzarella cheese (2 cups, shredded)
  • Marinara sauce (2 cups)
  • Onion (1 small, diced)
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • Olive oil (1 tbsp)
  • Italian seasoning (1 tsp)
  • Parmesan cheese (½ cup, grated)
  • Parsley (for garnish)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Mix cooked pasta into the beef sauce until evenly coated.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the pasta mixture, sprinkle with mozzarella, then repeat. Top with Parmesan.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Garnish with parsley and enjoy hot, cheesy perfection.
