Description

Tender, smoky octopus drizzled in bright lemon and fresh oregano for a bold coastal flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs cooked octopus, tentacles separated
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 fresh lemon (zest + juice)
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp cracked black pepper
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the cooked octopus completely dry to ensure a good char.
  2. In a bowl, whisk olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the octopus generously with the marinade.
  4. Preheat grill to high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  5. Grill octopus 3–4 minutes per side until charred and slightly crispy at edges.
  6. Transfer to a platter, drizzle with remaining marinade, and sprinkle parsley.
  7. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.
