Ingredients

  • Large shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • Smoked sausage (Andouille-style)
  • Long-grain rice (cooked)
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Ground beef
  • Onion
  • Bell peppers (red & yellow)
  • Garlic
  • Chicken broth
  • Paprika
  • Dried thyme
  • Green onions
  • Fresh parsley
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and brown sausage slices; remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it up well.
  3. Add onion, bell peppers, and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant.
  4. Stir in Cajun seasoning, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add cooked rice and chicken broth, mixing until evenly coated.
  6. Fold in shrimp and cooked sausage; cook until shrimp turn pink and tender.
  7. Finish with green onions and parsley, then serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to taste.
  • For a spicier dish, add diced jalapeños.
