Description

Juicy chicken tossed with onions and bell peppers in a bold, peppery sauce—fast, fiery, and irresistible.


Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken thighs (bite-size pieces)
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Green bell pepper
  • Onion
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Sugar
  • Cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil
  • Water
  • Green onions (for garnish)
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, and a pinch of black pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a hot skillet or wok; sear chicken until deeply browned, then remove.
  3. Add more oil if needed and sauté onion and bell pepper until slightly charred.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  5. Return chicken to the pan.
  6. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, water, and plenty of black pepper; toss to coat.
  7. Cook until sauce thickens and clings; finish with green onions and serve hot.
