Ingredients
- Boneless chicken thighs (bite-size pieces)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Green bell pepper
- Onion
- Garlic (minced)
- Soy sauce
- Oyster sauce
- Sugar
- Cornstarch
- Vegetable oil
- Water
- Green onions (for garnish)
- Salt
Instructions
- Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, and a pinch of black pepper.
- Heat oil in a hot skillet or wok; sear chicken until deeply browned, then remove.
- Add more oil if needed and sauté onion and bell pepper until slightly charred.
- Stir in garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
- Return chicken to the pan.
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, water, and plenty of black pepper; toss to coat.
- Cook until sauce thickens and clings; finish with green onions and serve hot.
