Description
A bold, olive-packed New Orleans sandwich layered high with cured meats and melty provolone.
Ingredients
- Large round sesame seed muffaletta bread
- Genoa salami & ham (thin sliced)
- Provolone cheese slices
- Olive salad (green olives, giardiniera, olive oil)
- Pepperoni slices
- Fresh mozzarella (optional for melt factor)
- Roasted red peppers
- Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley (chopped)
- Olive oil drizzle
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice the round sesame loaf horizontally.
- Spread a generous layer of olive salad on both cut sides of the bread.
- Layer provolone, salami, ham, and pepperoni evenly across the bottom half.
- Add roasted red peppers and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Top with fresh mozzarella if using.
- Place the top half of the bread on and press gently.
- Wrap tightly in foil and bake for 10–15 minutes until warmed and slightly crisp outside.
- Slice into wedges and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

- For extra flavor, let the olive salad sit for a few hours before using.
