Ingredients

Scale
  • Whole mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup or brown sugar
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Clean mushrooms and trim stems if needed.
  3. Whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, garlic, and pepper.
  4. Toss mushrooms thoroughly in the glaze.
  5. Spread mushrooms cut-side down on the baking sheet.
  6. Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring once, until deeply browned and sticky.
  7. Finish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes.
