- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, pepper, and parsley to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and cook rigatoni until al dente; drain.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil, sauté onion and garlic, then add beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in marinara sauce and season with salt and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine ricotta and half of the mozzarella, then stuff or layer mixture with beef into rigatoni.
- Spread some sauce at the bottom of a baking dish, layer filled rigatoni, and cover with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes until bubbling and golden; garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
